Someone Great (2019): I loved the sorority part of the movie (I mainly watched it because I liked the actresses in the cast), I loved the getting over a breakup part a lot (can resonate a lot when you've been in a relationship for years), I loved a lot of things yet it didn't always worked at times, and felt a bit weak? But I still liked it enough. The photography was definitely top notch, I liked the art direction in this.
6/10

But I'm A Cheerleader (2000): I was in need of a queer comedy, and this one delivered, even though it was definitely weak at times. But weird, and fun, and with a cast full of actors I know and recognize (hello RuPaul!). So it was a good moment still.
6/10

Dark Phoenix (2019): I sincerly expected the worst given friends of mine told me it was an utter shitshow, and it was actually kinda okay, even though definitely not goot anyway? Like people sold it to me as being worse than Apocalypse, and I think it is slightly better. Not by much, but enough. It was at least pleasing to the eyes, special effects were really nicely done!
6/10

The Inventor: Out For Blood In Silicon Valley (2019): I love a good documentary about scam artists, and this one was very nice and thorough about how Elizabeth Holmes believed so damn much in her own hype, that she became a fraud in the process. It's always interesting to see how people can delude themselves so much and twist reality to fit their desires and ambitions to the point of losing grip with actual facts and reality. And this documentary shows how much of a fragile bubble full of fakery the Silicon Valley truly is, and it's a bit frightening when you think about it.
7/10

Toy Story 4, it wasn't as good as 3, but still worth it, and bittersweet. Took my cousins, 2 came out bawling their eyes out.

Toy Story 4. Despite being an obvious cash-grab, it was a really well done film. I'm still not sure if I liked it more than 3 but it's up there to be honest, it was easily the funniest entry in the franchise which I appreciated, and as usual, made me cry at the end.

There's already a movie I have given an 8 that I mentioned in this thread earlier.

For 9 and 10, they're rare, especially the 10, cause I need the movie to have a really deep long-lasting impact on me, and not all of them do that.
You can check here which movies I gave 10s & 9s to: https://www.senscritique.com/dayMde.../my_rating/all/all/all/all/all/gallery/page-1

At the end of the day, it's very subjective, and the difference between a 9 and a 10 isn't that big, it's really subtle. And It's just very personal as well, and I don't expect anyone to agree with me in any way, movies can touch and move people in very different personal ways!

Shazam. It was alright, one of the better DC flicks for sure but that's not saying much, obviously. I did like the diversity in the film tho and Jack & Adam were pretty great as Freddie, the rest of the family were quite awesome too. Mark Strong needs to quit playing these one-note villans tho and the specials effects could have been much better.

PET SEMATARY (2019). It was somewhat worse than the 1989 one, all of the changes the director made were awful and brought nothing new to the table. The pace was horrible too, at the end I didn't even care about what happened to any of those characters. And they didn't need to add creepy kids with masks to make the movie more scary, it made it more ridiculous actually.
