Between both Bluelock & Haikyuu I've been binging a whole bunch of sports anime/manga lately and I think I just found another fun one in the process:
Rugby Rumble/Saikyou no Uta
As a rugby watcher and manga enjoyer, this is just my style. Also, the MC is kinda cute. He's a literal gremlin

Most of the best manga don't have anime adaptations yet

Started watching Trigun and it's so funny. Kinda like Cowboy Bebop, but better imo. Vash the Stampede is
And I'm watching The Apothecary Diary as well. It's so far so good (since i tend to enjoy episodic anime). Growing up watching Chinese ancient dramas so seeing aspects of that in an anime was nice. My only complaint is the mood is a bit confusing sometimes esp when the characters suddenly seem "poignant" for no reason

And so JJK manga finally ended. Honestly was a bit disappointed. The manga started off strong, only to start falling off.

Well if they really animate all the way till the last chapter, you can get to see:I only watch the anime and although I mostly enjoyed Season 2, I had a feeling that I would probably not enjoy how the series as a whole progresses.

Finally got to the point where I'm watching more than 2 shows in a season
- DAN DA DAN: Some YouTuber I watched said to stay on the lookout for this show and I'm glad I did. It's fcking funny. It has a supernatural occultist meets space otaku vibe
- Bleach TYBW S3. It's 2024 and I'm still watching Bleach yepyep. I legit grew up on this show, so I'mma see it through to the end
- Blue Lock S2. Anticipating. Most people complain about the overuse of still frams in this show, but I feel like the story more than makes up for it. Plus, it looked like they improved slightly in this aspect since the release of Episode Nagi

oki, finished everything today Bleach TYBW was my favourite of them all!
As for Blue Lock...
Ichibe's death was brutal and the fight between him and Yhwach was insane. The animation was stunning and soundscape was fantastic! The traditional Japanese folk performance transition into Futen Taisatsuryo was one of the best parts imho
As for Blue Lock...
I thought it was a good first episode, but I feel like it's too early to judge until we get into the meat of the plot and start delving into the U-20/U-20 selection matches to really know how it stacks up. So I'm gonna wait a while before judging it. I'm looking forward to seeing one of my favourite characters, Reo, get some attention later once the U-20 match officially starts

Blue Lock Season 2 Ep 1:
Gosh, I really dislike those guys from JFA.
Sae is hot.
Rin is still hot.
Do I see Isagi as a striker? No. Right now, if I can describe Isagi as a player, he is more like of a Paul Scholes. But without Paul Scholes shooting range.

So I've been watching Haikyuu lately and it's been annoying me how OP the author has been making the setters in the series. Kags, Oikawa, the Inarizaki setter, etc.
Half of these guys aren't pure setters but all-rounders instead. Like... where are these supposed support-based control towers that Kags was yelling ab at the beginning of the series
For pure setters, I like the Shiratorizawa guys, the high-intelligence/thoughtful setters like Kenma & Suga, or Akaashi who can draw out his ace's best plays (or work around him when the ace is off their game)

I love Oikawa and I feel like there are legitimate plot reasons for him to have other abilities like serving, etc.a completely valid complaint even if oikawa is my fav
will do!
Namely, him overworking himself and frequently comparing himself to Kageyama.
and I'd be fine with it if Kawa was the only multi-talented setter, but there are several of them in the series.
My gripe namely concerns Kags, Atsumu and all the other multi-talented setters that were introduced following Oikawa.
Kageyama is supposed to be a prodigy setter, so his main talent should be overall setting rather than every other aspect of the game as well.
I just wanted at least one of the genius pure setters like Kenma/Akaashi/etc. to continue on to the pro leagues post-High School

The genius vs prodigy thing is confusing me in the latest chapter. Like... from my understanding, geniuses either 'create' or have some god-given natural talent that puts them above the level of prodigies. Meanwhile, prodigies 'learn' and 'adapt' the plays of geniuses into more accessible plays.
But I just don't get why a genius can't also be labeled a prodigy & vice versa. Like... is it better to be a genius in one thing or a prodigy in several aspects.
Like, re: Loki. His genius talent is his speed, but does that mean that he can't also be labeled a prodigy in another aspect such as spatial awareness or playmaking or smth else? The storyline, at least atm, is leading me to thinking that Isagi actually is a genius, but in regards to his superior intellect which can't quite amount to much in regards to his soccer IQ until he can up his physicality to match up with the likes of Rin and Barou.
