Yeah, I didn't expect the response for I-fans to be this much, considering how Twice's JP releases are generally received. It does show that their international fandom isn't all Onces as some people like to claim. I was a little surprised to see reaction videos from K-fans so soon after the release, considering everything.

LOL. I'm not that surprised. They probably realized the potential for a huge response to Nizi early on, and prepared for it. They've probably been tracking the public response to the Hulu, Sukkiri and Nizikake segments as well. In any case JYPEJ isn't a huge workforce, so I think this work is probably more Sony Music. I kind of like it thematically, and I like the multicolored logo for Niziu and purple theme for WITHU. Though it sounds a little awkward when saying it.

Something has really lit JYPE on fire recently. He has Got7 April, Day 6 May, then Twice, Stray Kids, NiziU (3 in june) and they just dropped a teaser image for Itzy. I'm going to need some major pharmaceuticals to continue at this pace. And that's just JYP.

actually the best metric for a companies value is market cap. As of the last time I checked market cap wise JYP is first, YG second and SM third. P/E is best on how lucrative the stock is but they aren't showing that from the market watches I currently see. (did search hard though). Usually the entertainment companies in Korea have a huge P/E ratio which is something I don't like and why I'd never invest in them now. There are other metrics like debt to earnings as well but then it can get really complicated.

Yeah, I meant market cap, not stock price. JYPE's most recent P/E is 20. Nothing showing for SM and YG - not sure about SM, but I know YG didn't post any profit in their most recent report. JYPE is also offering a higher dividend than YG, while SM isn't even giving any. Still, it's nothing compared to the crazy P/E ratios of Amazon and Tesla. JYPE's P/E ratio is a actually a lot lower compared to a few years back when the stock was hitting the 30ks. Kpop entertainment stocks have been hostage to geopolitical factors lately - China closing off kpop promotions due to THAAD, and more recently the tense SK-JP relationship.

Yeah, was wondering about that. I think part of it is SM not having any new GG/BG lined up these past few years, while JYPE and others have been more proactive. Red Velvet debuted a year before Twice, but since then SM has had no new GG while JYPE has 2. If SMNGG does debut this year, they will be doing it in an even more competitive market. Either that, or investors are worried about their exposure in their other businesses. News of SM CoEx closing, and them opening another one up 350Km away from Seoul couldn't have helped much.
