KenkyuuseiEx-AKB48 member Hirata Rina revealed in the show "Ie, Tsuitte itte iidesuka?" (家、ついて行って) that her salary during her time in AKB was around 300k yen to 400k yen per month (~$2800-$3700). Now she's earning around 500k yen to 600k yen per month, 1 million yen (~$9300) when it's good.
Note: Average (not minimum) salary in Tokyo is 325 000 yen in 2018.
Another interesting thing to note is that she's currently living alone at a 2LDK apartment in Nishi-Azabu (a high end neighbourhood in Tokyo) with the rent 330 000 yen (~$3k) per month (splitted half with her parents).

Looking at it, especially the salary in yen, I don't think their pay is that bad as everyone said? Considering that Hirari is mainly a theater girl during her time in AKB, with her only TV appearance being the monthly Nogieigo (she wasn't even invited to AKBINGO much). Maybe that's why there are plenty of unpopular members who still stick around in the group until today.

about the salary, i remember time ago ppl reported that senbatsu member could count on a high one but to achieve that they had like few days of rest in a year, at least back when aks were doing good deals w/ third party sponsorships etc
many girls sticks because pays well, and for many, especially for underage girls is like a party-time job
i mean, if u are lucky and talented u can plan for a future job in the showbiz, if not, u have money in the bank

sounds like a favor to me, because iirc she didn't like aks much... i'd just guess she was used to her ties but i don't think would be her idea to accept them on TIF

NGT48 performance at TIF ended well ,it was too early so I couldn't wake up to watch it I'm really sad I missed Ogiyuka and Gatanee 
Anyway on to more serious stuffs , AKB48 fresh senbatsu (the superior senbatsu ofc) will perform in TIF today at 4:35 pm JST (so in about 1h25 from this post)
