Watanabe is releasing a new project called Wacos, is on the same crowdfunding site that the other project (of which we'll hear more soon...)

is a online business course given by watanabe, already sold out but worth mention that this one is not really mean for fans is more for people in the music scene

Ayuni d also launched a fan funding project the goal is 3m yen but already passed 15m

so it goes like this

the go to the bed tour is cancelled, the concerts can't be reschedule for several reasons so they are holding a free youtube live concert

and they announced the life is hard tour for September

Ayuni's tour was schedule for this month and because of that they are the ones at most trouble so the money is going to be used to cover the cost of the tour (both the canceled and the next one) and pay salaries for all parties involved

i'm siding with wack but i hope they don't push things to far with this kind of projects because they risk alienating fans

You bring up a good point. I didn't think about all the staff that Watanabe has to keep paying in addition to the group members. I know this is an extreme situation, but I remember when Watanabe went on a hiring spree and I thought he was expanding a bit too fast. BiSH is the only super successful group and it's hard to justify adding so many new ones. I think he should have been more cautious and kept the groups limited to 4: BiSH, BiS, GP, and EMPiRE. Then when BiS disbanded, instead of bringing in another Generation, put it on the shelf for a while and create CARRY LOOSE as a replacement.

I even question the existence of WAgg when applicants who make it to the end of the Training Camp can be immediately added to one of he existing groups. I think a better idea would be to automatically add Training Camp finalists to WAgg. Then a year later at the next Training Camp, they reveal which WAgg members will join an existing group. Allow fans to follow their progress over the year so they can route for their favs to get added. Just rinse and repeat.

With all this being said, that's fantastic that they've raised so much money already! I imagine some companies won't survive the crisis without live events, but WACK should be able to weather the storm with this kind of support.

i also think they went overboard with the new groups but i can see the logic behind that

BiSH being their money maker is a blessing and a curse, there are making a lot of money right now but if something happens to them wack will be at trouble so there is the pressure to expand as fast as they can

i was happy when uruuru graduated to carry loose since i thought this was going to be the new system but it don't seems they are ever going to stop with the auditions

i think that wack is going to be fine as long as they don't do something dumb, i really think they are going to become even bigger once this lockdown ends since a lot of smaller alt idols are getting crushed right now so more room for them :doge:

They have the best thumbnails for their videos :ROFLMAO:

I'm not aware of this being a thing. It might be a completely new trend. I'll have to look into it sometime.
i really like what they are doing, this is pretty much what i was expecting from a wack web show, since most people really don't see that much tv this days and rather watch youtube/twitch i think they could even become a "new" kind of idol

too bad their debut coincided with all this

you are right that the other stuff could be a new trend, i don't really know what is going on japan's side of the internet

I translated all the punishments from the chart on Mameshiba's variety show. I couldn't find a good pic of the chart, so I tried to list them in the order they were shown.

"Mameshiba Variety Show Punishment Board"

デスソース (Death Sauce) センブリ茶 (Senburi Tea) パンスト被り (Pantyhose Wearing)

顔面洗バサミ (Face Scissors) ゲテモノ食い (Getemono Taberu) コンビニダッシュ (Konbini Dash)

足つぼ大丈夫サンライズ (Ashitsubo Daijoubu Sunrise) メンバーの嫌なところ暴露 (Exposing the members dislikes)

クロちゃんの口臭 (Kuro-chan's Bad Breath)

- Death Sauce is made by the US company "Blair's Sauces and Snacks" and frequently served at the Wack Training Camp. It's insanely hot.

- Senburi is also known as "Swertia Japonica", an extract is an extract from the Swertia Japonica plant native to Japan. It has been recognized for centuries as promoting long life, strength and wisdom. It has a very bitter taste and is said to be the most bitter crude drug (herb).

- Pantyhose Wearing is self explanatory.

- Face Scissors is when they put the close pins on their faces and had them pulled off.

EVANkDYUYAAhB1s.jpg:small

- Getemono refers to something that is generally unpleasant to eat like reptiles and amphibians. This is where the grasshoppers came in.

EVAtbZOVAAEuN1x.jpg:small

- Konbini Dash (Convenience Store Dash) is pretty self explanatory, but I think there's more to it. As far as the show is concerned, it looks like whoever is last has to buy the other girls something. Sounded like they wanted Haagen-Dazs. Konbini Dash is also a hashtag on twitter, but I can't find a good explanation. It's usually connected to video games like the super hot Dragon Egg mobile game. I might be really simple like you really need something, so you have to make a quick run to the store.

- Ashitsubo Daijobu Sunrise (Acupressure Daijoubu Sunrise). Based on other variety shows, I'm guessing that the members would have to sing the song while getting an acupressure treatment on their feet. Depending on which points on the foot are pressed, it can be quite painful.

- Exposing the members dislikes isn't specific, so I don't know how they would approach this. Would they talk about general things they dislike or things within the group.

- Kuro-Chan's Bad Breath: So, that concoction they made a couple episodes ago where they recreated Kuro-chan's bad breath...yeah they're reusing it here. The usage is self explanatory. They're so efficient on this show. They should find more uses for it, lol.
nice, i actually wanted to see a summary of the episode so this comes handy (y)

mameshiba no taigun had a youtube project set for today but got delayed to next week,

are they going to push ahead with the release schedule? i'm thinking it's going to end getting delayed too

the teaser pictures were set on a school but the next single is supposed to be on swimsuits so i wonder if this means they changed the concept since all beaches/pools are closed

It's for the best that Mameshiba delayed their album. They can't make any money from release events which are Idol's bread and butter. They're probably making more money from their YouTube show than their last single, so that should help, lol. I was still wondering if they'd change it up and instead of wearing bikini's, they'd go with hazmat suits, but that would just be in bad taste.

I read a tweet from Watanabe about doing something with Tsunku, but there was no information. I'm really interested in what they have to say about the current situation.

Ayuni d also launched a fan funding project the goal is 3m yen but already passed 15m

I'm also hoping they don't go too far with the crowd funding. Fans already spend allot of money on Idols, so they should tread carefully.

Is this a sub label on WACK? I seem to remember you mentioning this a while ago.

After translating the punishments, I decided to translate the Q&A's as well. I'm done with the first ep and working on the second ep right now. I'll make a post on my blog sometime next week.

i think this really took them by surprise, they released the teasers one day and it's delay next

also new uniforms and while i still like more the ones from daijoubu sunrise this ones are good too
btw is weird that the style is kinda yankee like since the contest which rocket start won was to pick their next concept
seems watanabe is going to pretend that never happened :doge:

do you have a wack blog?

i been searching for that show but i can't find it anywhere, on twitter i saw that chitti was also featured she was saying that bish are still getting together to practice despite all this

instead of another crowdfund project wack are doing a contest on line this time
fans can upload proposals for stickers/emojis that are going to be sold in the line store, winner/s are going to receive a 100,000 yen prize

members are also allowed to compete, is worth checking their accounts since almost all of them are on it

i forgot that banana maho was a thing :doge:

they are using the #WACK金策LiNEスタンプ大作戦 hashtag, lots of fan art here

these ones are nice

also cursed pictures :doge:

iirc the deal was that watanabe lend money to pour lui to start her label in exchange of a stake on it

he also did something similar with kika's bar, watanabe seems fine with supporting ex members ventures since he also gets to diversify his investments, so i think this is a win win for both

artists in japan are doing a new challenge, they post a vid of them covering a song and then tag someone else who has to do the same

ruka from the world standard tagged chittii, no idea who she tagged
