If I am making a wild guess, I would say that it's probably the quarantine that gives people more time to discover new music and stuff like that. I won't complain about that though.

a lot of the attention came right after this year's camp, so despite it being a disappointment seems it still helped

for now only the big groups are getting a boost so i hope it also helps the smaller groups,

I hope he doesn't have the bright idea of having an idol group like Ebisu Muscats...

i didn't know about that group, they remind me of Honey popcorn who are also pornstars

i don't really think he is going to do something like that to any of the groups, i could see him try to make a new one like that in the future but to be honest groups like that don't really have a change to make it, i don't think that people that follow pornstars do it because their music
anyways i want to point out that he put on his profile that he is seeking a women despite being married

I think Mameshiba's new uniforms are going to be the ones they wear to perform and go on TV shows in. They'll probably still do the Bikini concept, but it's not practical when doing live performances. The new ones are kind of in between the original and Yankee versions. They're a bit too black imo, but at least they get to show their member colors. Mameshiba are such a colorful group and I would have liked to see them display that more.

i agree that dark concepts are not really their strong point, too bad because their latest outfits have been pretty good

i recall that most of wack colorful uniforms are usually not at the same level but mameshiba's maid ones were fine, they are probably going to get the other soon but may as well keep going with dual concepts like last time

also all the other groups changed into new outfits recently, only carry loose and wagg are left

Watanabe is really the ultimate promoter. Even if things go badly between him and his talent, he's happy to invest in whatever they're doing. I guess he takes advantage of whatever opportunities come his way. It's probably what's got him to where he is today.

Glad that they're turning things around and doing a contest for fans instead of asking for more money. Like you said in another post, WACK's raised more than enough, so now they can do something nice for the fans who've supported them.

i don't know who he was at the time but i thought "what an asshole", so i guess the marketing worked because here i am talking about it years later

My blog focuses on Japanese Idols in general and isn't particularly WACK focused. I just wanted a place to back up what I was posting on OneHallyu and now Hallyu+. I do post some Non-Idol stuff from time to time, but it's still related to Japan. I really only get to update it once a week or once every other week, but I'm still in the process of backing up old posts, so some months are more active than others. I am planning a 2nd Anniversary post which will focus on all the Photocards I've collected over the years, but I haven't begun to organize my collection or decide how to do it yet.

While I'm on that subject, it's taken me longer than I thought to translate the Q&A's from Mameshiba's variety show. I'm almost finished the second episode, so it shouldn't be too much longer.

A while ago i posted about Naruha (Paradises/Gang parade) being a main character in a drama, the plot was about typical teen drama,

anyways the last episode aired and right after Naruha when to twitter to reveal that she and the male actor are dating





i doubt this is a publicity stunt since there is no way they could get that guy to play along, after all dating scandals can kill your career

watanabe wants fans that feel hurt to put themselves in Naruha's dad place



i mean i don't really care but there are no other news
i just hope it doesn't hurts Paradises since they are already the underdogs from the GP split

both are among my favorite members among all wack groups so i'm hyped about this

also is pretty cool that all the members are getting more activities on their own

Maho did that Mv by herself (and she also wrote the lyrics)

Now has been doing the choreographs for new songs

also i would like to see them do a show like the one mameshiba no taigun is doing
but right now i would be happy with just things going back to normal at wack

and i think Kaede was the one that got the most answers right (and Miyuki the less)... somehow i'm not surprised about that

Mameshiba must have run out of pre-recorded episodes because they uploaded their first webcam video. They're going to be playing more games, but in the first ep, they just showed off their bedrooms. Miyuki also introduced her brother and Hanae introduced her sister.

They also finally posted a high res version of the group photo that was in the recent Natalie article about the album. What I find interesting is that you can tell they're wearing makeup intended for indoor lighting and not for sunlight. Their faces look way too pale, almost like a Geisha's. Most likely they went outside after the main photo shoot and took this pic real quick.

and yeah seems that because the album was supposed to go out next week they only had enough content for last week's video
also they are again teasing the part of them burying/digging or whatever they are doing, definitely related to the next single

about the makeup i wouldn't be surprised if the photoshoot was rushed too
