Here's a screencap of the group from the sneak peak vid. The white dress team are in heels.

I couldn't figure out the size of the contestants because most of the time they were pretty much performing on their own thru the series. Seems like of those with decent screen time, Nina and Suzu are quite tall.

The trainee that you thought was missing is Sato Ana. From the pic she was not there but during the performance she is there.

I haven't heard of any of them dropping out as of ep 6. Maybe something happened during the star potential segment.

For me i think the only gaurnteed 2 are mako and miihi , nina is talented & charming but if she still has confidence issues her chances might decrease im sure most if not all of you saw sixteen anything can happen this is jyp not produce where everything is planned .

Ayaka , ririka , rio are decent dancers but cant sing . Maya , miu , momoka , riku have potential . Suzu & riria needs to work on their singing they arent bad but still need training i dont remember moeno tbh and i think ayane and rei were great dancers in their audition i dont get why they have no screen time tho

I agree, Mako and Miihi are ready to debut immediately. As for the others, I'm hoping that they allow as many as possible to go to Korea to train. The format of this season 1 is peculiar to me. I'm not sure what they are expecting during the course of less than a week. Some of these girls haven't ever trained before. Obviously the 4 JYPE trainees should be a lot more polished. I thought season 1 was about finding the 26 girls that would undergo training in Korea. Learning more about each of their background and personality. I didn't think they would spend most of the show making another cut before sending them off to SK. JYP and his staff are really going to need to project to see what sort of potential the girls have. They'll really understand them much better (work ethic, character, etc) after seeing them train for 6 months.

I agree completly after choosing the 26 girls they shouldve taken them to korea done the training and based on the number of cubes or instead of cubes they couldve divided them to levels trained them did 3 group missions those who win the first two get to choose their song , performing order , level up and those with no hope get eliminated based on jyps judgement , in the 3rd mission they choose the final members
I just relised what i sad is basically produce mixed with sixteen but its still better than this mess . I mean why season 2 give us a reality show when they debut like any other group

Personally this is the weirdest part of the process. I understand the point of judging star quality, and personality, just not sure how effective telling the girls to show us what makes them a star is in doing that. I think it shows naturally while they perform or get exposed to the activities they will be doing as performers, like variety shows, live shows, concerts, talk portions of concerts etc. I would like to have had more footage of interaction between the girls, their practice and dorm life than this. The little they showed of Akari and Ayaka getting along or the girls during their meal was more interesting to me, and I would like to have seen more of it. Hopefully season two will be more focused on that.

It was nice to see Erina do her cheer routine, after the first audition process she was less than an afterthought on the show so it's good she got more screen time. Unfortunately I don't think she got to go to Korea. Unless she does amazingly well in the group performance I don't think there is much chance she passes, based on her screen time and overall ranking on the other evaluations.

I think it's very clear JYP, the show's crew and at least the people in the dc gallery really love Ayaka. At this point I would say she is a shoe in for the rest of it all. She has charmed a lot of people and that is the most important part of K-pop groups. I would be very surprised if at the end she isn't the visual of the group that gets formed. I thought she was cute and charming during her performance. We'll see how she does during the group performance but I doubt it will impact her results even if she does poorly. The only thing I can see keeping her out is some major character scandal which we would have probably have heard about now so I doubt it's in play. Not to mention she seems to be a very nice kid so even less likely that is in the cards.

I think Kyoka showed her charms really well too. She does seem very Japanese idol in how she acts and performs, which is to be expected since she was one, but I'm not sure if that fits the group JYP is trying to make. I'm convinced this is going to be a K-pop group in Japan so she needs to conform to that style. I agree with JYP that her performance didn't look natural and she definitely has somethings she needs to work on. I think she could work on the group, but when you stack up the other kids against her they are better fits than her. For now at least.

You can see Riku is very diligent with her karate routine. She also mentioned something that Japan likes a lot and isn't really a think in Korea that is what they call "gap". Which is basically the charming point of the dissonance between her cute looks and personality and her serious expression and regimented performance of karate. I'm curious about other parts of her personality too though and it's why I wish instead of this we had more footage of the girls just being themselves. I don't think this added much to what we know about her since she had already showed a little bit of it during the audition. We only got to see more of just at what level her karate proficiency is. Obviously it isn't her fault it's just how things go and how the show and JYPE decided to do things.

They skimmed though a handful of performances which is regrettable but understandable again. Still wish they uploaded it to some kind of vod platform. Ayane did some energetic dance, Ririka did ballet, Momoka did some kind of comedy routine, Mayuka played the ocarina, Mei did magic, not sure what Riria did looks like some kind of catwalk performance, Rio danced as expected.

Mako's performance was a bit weird but charming nonetheless. Seems like she will work hard on variety by the lemon part. I have no idea about Japanese calligraphy but what she did looked good to me. At this point she is another one that seems like a lock. Possibly the leader of the future group, maybe main dancer also.

Really liked Maya's drawings. She seems to be the artistic type. Very curious to see what the translations are for her portion. Seems like she talked about her feelings and how the Ugly Duckling story relates to her after JYP did some asking. Seems like he also took some time to address all the girls and what this audition means to them overall. I think he probably said something like even if you fail here it isn't the end. Could be very wrong though so don't put any faith on what I'm saying. If he did do that I praise him. This is something Jang Geum Seok did for pd101 season 1 and I think it's very important. You can see how much pressure and stress this girls put on themselves for this and I think it's important to tell them even if they don't make this it's not an indictment on their self worth. It's just part of their journey and they have so many great things ahead of them.

Very excited for the group performances. I hope it starts next episode, but I feel like it will be more of an episode 9 thing and they use 8 to finish the star quality evaluation. Very curious to see how and if the girls that didn't get the cubes for dance or vocals get them later. Also should be fun seeing them fangirling over Momo and Sana and how they judge the girls and what advice they give. Especially since they both took part in a very cruel reality show and Momo was even eliminated.

It's also interesting how JYP is employing some sns hype marketing strategies. I wonder why so late into season 1 they decided to do this. Could have tried it from episode 1. Not like it has any cost or requires too much setup.

My feelings to who made it and who didn't haven't really changed much. One of the things that changes to having a variety show without malicious editing is very little room for surprise. Things seem to have really settled into place. Personally I prefer it this way, but I do know a lot of people like the fake drama.

Forgot to mention how bad I felt for Sato Ana. First time we get to hear her talk is to praise another girl lol. Poor kid.
