Since Hina being active on SNS is evidence she didn't make it...do we think the same of Miu? afterall the group photo was posted on her insta along w pics of her with Suzu and Rio
We don't know where or when the picture that Miu posted is from. My guess is some Korean restaurant in Japan because you can see hiragana on most of the advertisement posters in the background. The only things Korean is Show Music core on the tv and a Korean food product on the banner of the restaurant. Which a Korean restaurant in Japan would do. Now the performance on tv is this one which aired on August 31st. So my guess is this is from before any trip to Korea to train. Possibly during the shooting of the first season or between the end of it and the start of the Korean training. I also don't know when she posted this to social media. My guess is the girls in Korea are not allowed to use sns. We don't know the exact date they traveled to Korea so even having that information it would not be enough to be certain of anything. Hina is posting right now so it is fairly safe to assume she isn't or didn't train in Korea. We can't say the same about Miu or anyone else in the picture circulating online.
Sukkiri spotlight on next episode. Very spoilery.
Looks like Miihi trended on 15th after the Sukkiri spotlight on yahoo, the second most visited website in Japan after google.
Some pre-show pics or Riria from when she was in an Avex co-ed group called a-x's

GuestI agree with you all on hina she shouldve gotten that star power cube . Here to here hopefully doing good in the group showcase since whoever does good in that can get all cubes . Poor ana it was her last chance :") i hope it works out for her she still young ! Also can jyp just leave riria alone if you belive in her talent just choose her not everyone can " take care of their weight " like you do every person's body is different than the other she's doing good the best she can .

Yeah she's about the same size Jihyo was during debut/Cheer Up era and while she did get some hate for her weight it certainly didn't effect her performance ability the way JYP seems to think weight does...and p much any doctor will tell you that it's unhealthy for teens still developing to go on strict diets and it often isn't effective anyway. I mean Umji was constantly yo-yo dieting for the first year or so of Gfriend promoting and she only gained weight due to the stress and it wasn't until she stopped that she began to lose her baby-fat naturally...I've seen plenty of jyp stans on yt claim that people are just misunderstanding and that he isn't actually promoting anything unhealthy but saying: 'he expects the same from her as himself and saying he only eats one meal and day' seems p clear yo-yo/starvation dieting to me but maybe I'm dumbAlso can jyp just leave riria alone if you belive in her talent just choose her not everyone can " take care of their weight " like you do every person's body is different than the other she's doing good the best she can .
Ultimately I think it's a good sign for Riria though that her weight is the main thing criticized as it means that JYP doesn't have that much to say negatively about her talent I suspect that Riria is one of JYP's favorites personality/talent wise but her weight is what's making him hesitate to put her in his mental debut line so that's why he keeps pushing her about it.

GuestMy opinion about ep9 :
Team nizi girls :
rio : was my favorite i personally only saw her i felt so bad when she forgot the lyrics at the beginning she always gave me the image/ impression of " i'm the best i'm / i'm the best dancer " so i thought she was very confident too confident i misunderstood her until the last couple of episodes i relized she has this kind / your best friend kinda vibe and her personality was shown and proven even more through today's episode but yeah i agree with jyp while dancing as a group i was thinking " ooh look at rio slaying right there " but during her part she had this calm energy which according to jyp is apperently lack of confidence / nervousness which lead to her forgetting the lyrics but she did great vocal and dance wise the best actually
Suzu : it felt as if she's singing foreign lyrics even though she was singing in japanese it felt like she was singing in korean or something her singing sounded the same like shes singing the same note her dancing was a bit slow
Momoka : she did good vocally and was charming her dancing was a bit slow
Hina : was awkward her singing and dancing felt forced and too much power but in the end it slightly got better < i was rooting for you girl >
Mei : her dancing was great too bad she only got one part and was too tired of dancing so she was out of breath and it turned out not that good
Team 5pm :
mako : to me she was the usual " perfect mako " i don't know what the old man is talking about its a dude's song she's supposed to be strong and powerful maybe shes supposed to that only in her part like he said to rio ? I dont get it . mako you did amazing sweetie
Kyoka : she was also great she had breath control problem a bit in the end but she was awesome jyp is stupid for not praising her
Akari : she was awesome and stable deserved the praise good job child
Moeno : she was doing great too till the end her vocals were a bit off then she forget her rap lyrics i felt so bad for her
Ayaka : ayaka was hilarious XD in a good way her dancing was good her vocals are still not that good but she's too cute for this concept i just laughed like everyone else XD its like the girls are in a world and shes in another one XD
DALLA DALLA team :
Nina : vocals were spectacular i didn't notice her dance in a bad way like jyp did she was fine she could use more training and confidence dance wise but she was great
Yuna : she did good her expressions were a bit too much for me at certain times
Erina : was good but i didn't notice her i knew she's there but i didn't see her star power
Ririka : talk about improvement for a girl who lacked the basics of singing < jyps words not mine > she was good stable but it did stand out as well but still did better that erina so i think she deserves to be taken to korea im upset jyp didnt notice how much she improved vocally
Mayuka : yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas giiiiiiirllll geeeeet iitttt slaaaaaay proved all of them wrongggg everyone doubted shes gonna make it in the end and now she went from having 0 cubes and no screen time to being labeled " i'm the next nizi star " like all jyp's favorites a prove that under dogs can rise i didnt have a specific favorite in this i think now i'm gonna hope you make it sweetheart do it for all of us underdogs out there .
riku and miu sobbing for her in the back love this underdogs turned rising starts friendship <3

So jyp is gonna choose 20 out of 26 to go to korea and then make a season 2 to choose 9 out of 20 ? Bruh just rip off the bandaid now 20 is a lot if your'e only choosing 9 in the end . don't get these kids/the people who like them's hopes up eliminate 8 and choose 18 and in season 2 choose 9 out of 18 now that's more reasonable

StanI have to say I was definately one of the doubters. And I'm jubulant that she basically slapped my face and told me to go XXXX(insert any word you want here) and proved that I'm a total idiot. LMAO. I don't get you. You complain about JYP's choices, then when he gives 2 more people (than you'd like) a chance to make the final, you moan about that too? Like 20 is a huge difference from 18? Unlike the PD series, the talent level among most of the Nizi participants is raw and unpolished, so having a few more contestants go through 6 months of training to see who rises to the top is not a bad thing. I can guarantee you one thing though - if you walked in there while JYP was announcing the final 20 and told him to pick 18 instead, all the contestants would tear you a new one. Even if they don't make the final group, which of those contestants would have any regret about experiencing 6 months of free training in Korea, not to mention all that exposure on TV?So jyp is gonna choose 20 out of 26 to go to korea and then make a season 2 to choose 9 out of 20 ? ok first of all why are you so mad relax dude i just stated my opinion as a person who mostly likes the kids who dont end up winning in the end and i was too emotional because i just watched the episode . the training part is awesome i forgot about that . I just dont want to see tears that could be avoided that's all because after seeing the sukiri spoilers and todays episode some kids are clearly not gonna make it and most of those kids are already not jyp's faves i know it goes against what i said about mayuka but because i saw all the performances i can say that . its not like there's any test after this and jyp is nice but not that nice to ignore basic skills that some of them lack very much and arent improving even after he adviced them .
It was very clear this episode that really 2 days is not enough to put up a cover especially of songs you never heard and don't know the language of. I understand they are limited by copyright to JYP songs unless they want to go way over budget for a webshow, and that they wanted to do various concepts, but I feel this portion would be better and fairer for the girls if they used Japanese songs only and gave them at least a week to prepare.
We got to a see little bit more of the girls personalities during training which was nice. Was also interesting seeing the different personalities from the Korean trainers. I wonder how JYP will handle the girls once they debut. I can't imagine they will keep flying the trainers or the girls back and forth between the two countries even if they are very close. It also seemed the dance trainers didn't have an interpreter, at least at times when they showed them. I wonder if they will hire people in Japan for them eventually. A lot of hurdles for these girls considering many haven't had proper training at all.
I think Be My Baby team did ok. Taking into account they didn't know the song, except for Mei that heard it a few times, and that they only had 2 days to prepare. It was cool seing Rio take a leader role helping the girls out with the dance and all. I kind of agree with JYP though that her performance got lost in the group. Not sure if because the concept is too girly for her, lack of time, her focus on helping others but she lacked energy and stage presence. I still think she has potential and would love to see how she does with more time. I believe and wish she made it to Korea, but that was not an inspired performance. She seemed to feel really bad and regretful when she messed up her line.
I think Suzu looked a bit awkward dancing. Not sure if because her limbs are too long or she was embarrassed by the concept but her moves were a bit sheepish at times. I liked her vocals a lot though. Not perfect but she had several moments of really nice singing with different techniques.
I think Hina did well too. Nothing too exceptional but she was stable enough singing and didn't look out of place dancing. I wouldn't revert an entire evaluation of her because of this performance but she did her part well enough.
Mei was struggling a bit though. She was out of breath singing and couldn't keep up with the dance. She was a bit stiff during some moves. Maybe her singing suffered because she was putting a lot of effort dancing, but it was clear she needs a more work before debut.
I think Momoka wasn't impressive. Her dancing wasn't terrible but at times she lacked energy. Her vocals likewise weren't terrible but not memorable either. She did show good stage presence at times, but was not constant imo. At times she looked out of focus or maybe too self-conscious. I don't mind JYP giving her the star quality cube here, because she definitely had some very eye catching moments during the performance.
Overall I think this team was very even as far as performance goes. If I had to chose a standout I would say Suzu because the good parts of her vocal really impressed me, but taking into account her dance I would score her similarly to the other girls.
Team Again & Again did a good job. A tough concept, a straight up cool concept which no girl group does. Not a girl crush concept but a somewhat haughty concept. Not to mention in Korean. Mako once again showed she is a great leader. JYP seemed to say he wasn't impressed by her performance. I don't quite agree. I think she did an amazing job with the dance, and did ok with the vocals. The reason I say ok is because I felt she was trying to help out girls a lot by harmonizing with them but those harmonies didn't really sound good. If you take that out of her performance and keep only her solo lines I think she did a good job.
Poor Moeno looked very out of it. Not sure what was happening to her, if she was frustrated or what. Her dance was off-beat and lacked energy at times. She pulled off some moves, showing that she knows how to dance, so my guess is something more mental holding her back. Her expressions were very awkward throughout too. Her vocals were ok but her rap was not delivered well. I wonder if the concept was too hard for her, or the rapping was worrying her too much.
Kyoka did well with her low tone singing I felt, but her dancing was lacking. Her stage presence wasn't strong either. Not sure if she lacked confidence but she didn't seem confortable during the performance.
I agree with JYP that Akari did great. She pulled of the concept really well. I think she can really shine with some more training. She did a great job with the dance and her vocals showed promise. She was so worried too about the performance.
I think Ayaka vocals really lacked. Her dancing was ok at times, but lacked energy and was off-beat at others. She does have great stage presence and visuals though. She clearly attracts fans and the eyes of people watching. I think her dancing can be passable but her vocals need a lot of work. I'm still convinced she is a shoe in the group, but she will probably face some criticism for her performance. She is constantly being shared in both Korean and Japanese communities from what I saw, and that is a huge thing for pop groups. She is definitely the visual of a future group.
Dalla Dalla team is a mixed bag for me. Somethings they did great others they lacked. They got probably the second best song as far as familiarity and concept goes. It's a tough dance though and singing live doing it even harder. I think that Nina just further solidified my evaluation of her. She has a great voice and a lot of potential to be a main vocal. She already has some great projection and very clear vocals. She also has good stage presence, but her dancing is going to be biggest hurdle. She looked stiff and off-beat a lot. Now she didn't look hopeless which is good. So I think it's justa a matter of a lot of training and experience.
Yuna is a very cute kid with great stage presence, but I don't know if it's a mental thing or a physical thing that she fluctuates a lot during her performance. She goes from singing and dancing well from losing the rhythm and sounding breathy in both her performances on the show. If she can rein that in she is golden.
I think Ririka did well. She still doesn't look fluid dancing, but isn't bad at dancing. She did well with her vocals to me too. Only thing is nothing stands out. I think she has decent stage presence but I feel she hasn't really done anything to catch JYP's eyes.
Mayuka did well, but I also don't think she stood out. She danced and sang well along with good stage presence. Very far from her rankings. Very curious to what happened there for her to rank as she did. A nice reversal story on the last stage of the first season. Now this means she probably made it to Korea. I don't get why they literally ignored her in all previous 8 episodes though.
Now Erina as is to be expected by the short time really didn't do well in either dancing or singing. She started from a further point than most of the other girls so it's only natural a 4 day training camp was not enough to make up for it. She had some decent moves though so I think with some proper training she can make it, but considering the debut was supposedly after only 6 months training I don't think she could make it. She had decent stage presence too, but not strong enough to stand toe to toe with Yuna and Nina imo.
JYP is frustrating at times. Sometimes he gives very clear objective advice for the girls to improve, but others he is very vague and abstract. Especially to girls that perform well but are lacking something to him. I don't think he did that as much this episode, but I don't speak Korean or Japanese so he might have.
Right now of the teams that have performed I don't think I would have changed much from the cubes JYP distributed. At most maybe I would give Kyoka and Ririka a singing cube, but even then I'm not super adamant about it. Still not really happy how short this was for the girls. I know I'm not gonna be happy no matter what happens at the end of season one when we see who couldn't go to Korea.
Having said all that I tried watching Sixteen again recently and man fuck MNET. That show was super cruel unnecessarily. I'm not happy with how little time the girls were given in season 1 of Nizi Project, but at least they aren't being put through so much idiotic shit like the Sixteen girls were. Also no malicious editing is so much better to watch.
Next episode is the last one of the first season. Curious about how many girls get eliminated and who. From my prediction one girl seems to have changed her apparent destiny, I wonder if the editing teams has another card up their sleeve. If the Sukkiri spotlights didn't hide anything major I think swapping Erina and Mayuka on my prediction should be it for a 20 girls scenario.
We got to a see little bit more of the girls personalities during training which was nice. Was also interesting seeing the different personalities from the Korean trainers.

StanOk. So based on the episodes 1-9 here are my finalists that i think will be going to Korea. One thing I noticed is that on his desk there were enough triangles for every contestant to get a full 4 triangles and complete their cube so while I don't think it will be the case it is possible because of the number of cubes that ALL passed. These are my opinions and may not reflect JYP's.
1. Mako. Along with a few others I think she is a guaranteed to make it to Korea. Best dancer of the group. She had several of the most outstanding performances and has shown great leadership in the show. Good vocals if a little on the quietish side and phenomenal dancing but definately lead vocal quality. Good expressions as expected of someone who has been training for 2.5 years. (pass chance 99.99%)
2. Miihi. Another one I think is guaranteed to make it. Very very good vocals and stage presence. Could be a main vocal. Projects cute and cuddly like no one else in the show. Strong dance and in general good all a rounder. Seems to have a great personality too. Can't see her not make it. (although we haven't seen her showcase) (pass chance 99.99%)
3. Riku. Great voice on that girl, good dancing a genuine all a rounder. Shows quite a contrast of personalities. Strong confident yet when Twice appeared she kept grabbing Nina as a lifeline for her shyness seeing one of her idols. Dances well and is I think guaranteed a spot. (pass chance 99.99%)
4. Suzu. Anther good bet. Has good projection in her voice and even if her dance moves are somewhat sluggish she still seems to be able to project what she has in a very positive light. Her performance in the showcase while not the best was still better than most in stage expressions and singing ability. Has a great lower note quality in her voice. (pass chance 99.99%)
5. Rima. Overall very good. Definitely a visual pick with a cuteness and has good rapping skills. Vocals, dance while not the best still much better than average of the girls. Combined with all of those qualities while I don't think she is guaranteed she is definitely a top contender. (pass chance 95%)
6. Yuna. Not sure what to think about her. I like her dancing and stage presence but not very fond of her vocals. She's been training for 2.5 years and yet she still becomes unstable in singing as the performance goes on. She wouldn't be one of my pics because I don't see her being able to improve but I also think she will make it to the next round. (pass chance 95%)
7. Maya. I actually quite like her. I would probably rank her higher than Rima actually. She is stable a good all a rounder. Good vocals and she improved quite a bit in the very short time the Tokyo training has been going on. (pass chance 90%)
8. Riria. I think she will make it but there is a possibility she wont. Haven't been impressed with any of her performances but then again I haven't been critical of any of them either. (pass chance 90%)
9. Akari. Love this girl. Did nice in the showcase showing lots of fun. Vocals were good upper middle tear, dancing was very nice I thought and stage presence was excellent. I again think she will make it but not guaranteed. (pass chance 95%)
10. Nina. Best main vocal girl in the group. Has a vocal projection second to none and can hit seeming any note at any time regardless if she's dancing or had just finished dancing. Miihi is her only competition in vocal and if you need a heavy high note Nina's your pick. Stage presence and expressions she is by far the best. Nothings even close as how I see it. Dancing. She needs A LOT OF WORK. Her stage presence covers it up somewhat but it is still there. (pass chance 99.99%) (just because of air time she is getting)
11. Ayaka. Definite visual of the group. I liked her vocals on the showcase even though it was a bit simple. Dancing was just so so but she made up for it with visuals. While visuals isn't really a skill it is definitely something that matters in a girl group. I think she will make it (pass chance 95%)
12. Rio. Second best dancer in the group. I actually really liked her showcase and disagree with JYP on this. She didn't stand out but she also didn't under perform either. To me she looked stunning and almost didn't recognize her. Her rap was good except were she messed up. But then she already had the vocal cube and when she was singing it was loads better than her vocal evaluation. (pass chance 80%)
13. Ririka. Here is were we really start getting into the unknowns. She had a great first performance but have't seen much after that that was impressive. She was pretty good in the showcase but was outshined by 3 of the other 4 girls. Vocals are unstable and yes they could be improved but I don't think that performance was good enough improvement over the previous performance to give her a vocal cube (pass chance 70%)
14. Momoka. I really like this girl and always have even if I didn't think she would make it. I wanted her to so I'm a bit biased I admit. That being said her getting the star triangle makes me think she will make it. Before the showcase I would have had her chances being about 50/50 but since the showcase I think she has a good chance (pass chance 85%)
15. Kyoko. Here are the 50/50 girls. She is good but is not really standing out. She was pretty much invisible in the showcase. Some tone issues and her dancing was just kind of there. She's been middling to low. Her passing in general is more like how many JYP wants to take to Korea. (pass chance 50%). *note from this point on the number of people passing is really one of the most significant things to affect there chance of passing.
16. Miu. Haven't seen her showcase so reserving a bit here. Loved her vocal test doing Claris. Hope she makes it but not sure. Dancing just mised the cutoff so not counting her out. Since I haven't seen her showcase i'm just going to put a 50/50. (pass chance 50%)
17. Moeno. Kind of the same. Nothing really stands out. She is middling good in everything but not outstanding in any one field that can offset the others. (pass chance 50%)
18. Rei. I like her personally. She has a unique face which I kind of like and I like some contrast between people. Seems pretty good at dancing but appears a bit stiff when she did the showcase. Singing is not the best but there is something about her I just like. (pass chance 40%)
19. Mei. Pretty much invisible as far as time goes. Same as the girl Rei above. Seemed a bit out of sorts in the showcase so I don't see her making it that much. (pass chance 30%)
20. Funa. What I said about Mei is pretty much the same for her. However I have not seen her showcase so there is still some hope. See Mayaka below. (pass chance 20%)
21. Hina. Pretty much ignored by most. I didn't like her showcase as she seemed awkward on the stage. Voice was sometimes good sometimes out of tune. Thought she should have gotten the STAR triangle easily and because she didn't I think JYP isn't even looking at her any more. Shame too. (pass chance 10%)
22. Kako. 100% invisible from JYP. I don't really have an opinion on her as I've seen more or less nothing. Hope, hope she puts on a great performance in her showcase. (pass chance 5%)
23. Ayane. Vanished basically after the regional qualifiers. Scorring very low in vocal and dance. HAven't seen the showcase so things could change but I'm doubting it. (pass chance 5%)
24. Mayakura. Her debut chance going into the showcase was also going to be a miserable 5% but then she put on the show of a lifetime and came back. Was it as great as people say. Yes/No. It was WAY WAY better than her other performances which shows that she gained alot in confidence and showed all her skills at the right time. She had ranked 21/24 for dance/vocal so she wasn't even in close proximity to passing before the showcase. (pass chance 90%)
25. Erina. Week item on the totem pole for pretty much every performance. Except of course the STAR showcase which I think she should have gotten a triangle for but even then it was "questionable" if she rated it. I would have given it to her though. (pass chance 0.1%)
26. Ana If you don't know she dropped out. If she hadn't though I'm guessing she would be right beside Erina. (pass chance 0.1% assuming she didn't drop out)
*NOTE. This is how I would give the percentage chance of them passing to Korea while not having any knowledge obtained by the Sukkiri news program which named 3 contestants that would passed.
Edit: Forgot Ana's name at #26 shame on me. Fixed.
