Just curious, is anyone following Youth with You 2 or Produce Camp the Chinese survival programs? The contrast is so different between them and Nizi Project. There's crazy production value on the Chinese shows. On produce camp, the contestants are staying in some lakeside Disney looking village. Also most of the Nizi girls are going to be done with a 7 year contract, retired and still be younger than the contestants of the other two shows.
BTW. So watched the first episode of produce camp. MUCH more pleased with this than Youth with You. They have some really good tallent there in both the singing and dancing. While the singing is still post processed it isn't that heavily or obviously done. I don't think it is studio recorded like some of the Youth with You stuff either. The girls though have been through the training processes for years obviously though and and they don't have many what you would call raw talents. I'll be watching this show.

So watched episode of 3 produce camp china and I've change my mind a bit after the group performances. The singing at least was definitely pre-recorded with heavy post filtering and mastering being done.

There is no change in any of the song outputs even when they are doing movements.
Not hearing any breathing in on the microphones.
There is no change in the sound even if the microphone isn't positioned near the mouth and they are singing.
They aren't using any stage sound filtering scheme as well as the sound has this mastered quality about it without the filtering needed to overcome the normal stage background noise and external piped in music.

While individually the dancing is very nice and they have great stage presence, their formation synchronizations and movement synchronizations aren't that good for the level they should be. These girls aren't really trainees but actual debuted members in many cases and are forming more of a super group. However from the group formations and how syncronized choreography should be when compared to their individual dancing they aren't cutting it for me.

Yeah these extremely staged group performances definitely aren't as compelling as the earlier ones where they did impromptu battles out of of the audience. Also since the final 7 will be entirely decided by audience vote (sans rigging), the performances results are not that important compared to getting more screentime with positive edits to gain viewer support.

The new Soul Cup cafe (Jamsil Location)

I always found it kind of funny that JYP talks about weight management / conditioning to his trainees/artists when he essentially has a free AYCE buffet in his building and also a desert cafe downstairs. And he wonders why his trainees are struggling (unless that's part of his mental strength training).

I feel like team Heart Shaker might surprise us and win. They’ve been hyping up team Swing Baby because of Mako and they’re basically setting them up to win, so I wouldn’t be shocked if they pull a plot twist on us and team Heart Shaker bags the win. It’d be good because Momoka and Yuna will get cubes and also it’ll test the members of team Swing Baby since they’ve been doing really well thus far and I feel like JYP might want to see how they cope following a loss, especially Mako. It’ll truly test how determined they’re because you’d think they’d want to redeem themselves in the next mission.

So looking for theories on when the actual debut will happen and in what format.
I think debut won't happen any earlier than October. I'm pretty sure October was the planned debut month before the show got pushed back (but I could be misremembering) because of the show being pushed back til now I think it's likely the debut has been as well, possibly as far as 1Q 2021 but for the sake of not losing public/shareholder interest probably not so... I'll go with November.

Assuming the choreography thing is for a in show song like Do it Again/Truth they'd have at least two or three songs on debut so I think they'll definitely have a physical mini even though it'll likely be very bare-minimum:

Track 1: Intro (I wanna shine bright)
Track 2: Debut TT
Track 3: Ballad
Track 4(5?): In show song/s
Track 5/6: Debut instrumental

I think for concept Miihi, Nina, and Mako all have very emotional voices (at least when they understand the emotions in the song) and their best performances are ones the showcase that: Nobody, I'll be Back, Yuki no Hana... So with those as fairly certain debut members I think a ITNW type debut a.k.a a pure song with powerful lyrics/dance would suit them well (ofc with a unique spin on it as I think the concept is fairly common in Japan as well) I think something with a more natural-vibe would contrast well enough with Twice's color-pop and certainly with Itzy's noise music.

about the member being team up not evenly like some group over power to other group base on the member ranking ....... why i get to see a pattern here ????? i was happy this show was not air on mnet cuz you know....any mnet survival tv show was rigged ....but then again...it was jyp show...so.......u need to think from the business perspective, there a lot money from investor pouring down on this project....obviously you dont want to mess this up just because u saw some trainee have the potential ...where there some trainee already have the ability to debut and can deliver those ROI .... this show is for hyping this future group that all, they want to recreate the twice marketing using survival tv show method once again, and public cannot mad at them since there no voting that involve money from the public audience ...basically...jyp can do what ever he want....from the picture below we can see that jyp management team already setup their confirm linep up ....they just wasn't sure either to pick miyoung or jihyo during that time....this picture were taken during the reporter press conference release to promote this sixteen show,to promote all of this girl and quess who sit in the middle all the time during this press conference ? .sixteen show still contribute something thou....jyp management team finally can decide to choose jihyo rather then miyoung. if you see the previous test ranking, rank 1 to 7 really look like they can debut right away...maybe jyp will add 2 more spot ...who knows since he need that face of the group a.k.a ayaka....at the end of the day...it up to him... and yes u can see some pattern on who he already have on his mind for the final line up. so....just enjoy the show....i already watch soo many survival show from baby kara, welcome to momoland, idol school ,produce show, mixnine, the units, sixteen even treasure or mix and match etc ...they all have that pattern that you kinda already know this people will debut.....its call screen time but that from a big tv show station thou example mnet...so i dont know about hulu....the only possible way that all this trainee can debut IF jyp maayybee think they should debut in a large group since japanese market prefer a idol group that have alot of member.

Theoretically yes. I don't see how it would be possible this year unless he changes his mind and debuts them with a Korean opening instead of the expected Japanese one. The main criteria for MAMA is that it is a KPOP or Korean album/song... After that whatever category they are nominated from the rules vary a bit. Also since they are debuting so late in the year they may not win any type of awards this year. Some awards they do allow foreign acts to "win" special awards but I'm not familiar with any of them in Korea, and to be honest those types of awards lead to some bitterness between fans and charges of racism and such. There is a slight chance that if for whatever reason Nizi goes basically nuclear in Korea even with a Japanese opening that the fans and industry might say they have to give them an award as it is a Korean developed group they could win something but the chances of that are about as close to zero as you can get for this year. (IMO)

In the future as he said he wants to make a kind of "reverse" twice he will almost assuredly have them do a Korean release. When that happens they can absolutely get several awards in Korea if the public likes them enough.

We absolutely did. My reasoning on this though is based on how he likes this one song performed. None of the girls in the nizi project including Nina/Miihi/Riku/Mako have really the right voice for the song. The rhythm is also very hard for someone that doesn't listen to Jazz or swing music as it has a very old style of syncopation that is not really used in any modern music now days. I don't doubt they will be able to dance to it but singing just not sure they can pull it off. In the west this type of music had a revival in 90s with groups like "Big Daddy Voodo" and "Brian Setzer orchestra" but since then it's not really played much at all. Before that this music was popular back in the old roaring 20's.

Correction group is "Big Bad Voodo Daddy"

If Nizi becomes popular in Japan, I can see them winning awards at MAMA Japan. They may be singing Japanese, but they are still a JYPE group, which makes them technically kpop. But if for some reason people decide they don't qualify as kpop, there's always the Best Asian Artist section, where Mnets put all the other Asian entertainers to fulfill the "Asian" part of MAMA. :judgingyou: I guess that would be the equivalent of Twice winning the Best Asian Artist Award at the Japan Golden Disc Awards.

Knowing the bitterness of koreans, having a Japanese Jpop gg win a korean award wouldn’t make them happy. a lot of theme ere against the idea of NIZI. I really do see them win awards at MAMA Japan or Japanese awards shows.

Wasn't the first match up Sunrise vs Seaside Fairies? If it was, then there was no need to blur the pendants for Team Swing Baby and HS, because they wouldn't have received any new cubes / triangles yet. :doge:

they did blur out their pendants in the waiting room that's why people think that group actually performed first.

the korean forums have been trying to unmosaic the cubes.
