depends, i guess whoever is behind the different music shows pick the more suited/loved track from each group also considering the latest releases. for example nogi in these weeks did influencer but also the title song from their latest single.
every group/singer have their iconic song but especially in show like that the need to promote whatever song is new (in akb case there is no single to promote so im sure they just went w/ the classics just to give 'em something)
