basically EMI records was going to give away Cheekis / polaroids of the members but the photos turned pretty badly (they still look good)

so instead the members are going to do a free online live photo session on the 16, details are going to be posted on their web site




and speaking of their web site, they launched a new site for ExWHYZ

"coming this summer" Japan's summer ends in August

they also announced their fanclub "xYZ"



is going to be very similar to "agent" club as EMPiRE although there seem to be some changes, this is just my interpretation since i'm not totally sure but seems there is going to be a "CIRCLE" (or clubs) within their fanclub: Sauna, light music, dance, photography, video research

each member is going to be in charge of each club (there are 5 clubs for 6 members so two of them probably are going to host one together)

if i have to guess

Dance > NOW's club
Light music > MiKiNA's club
Video research > MiDORiKO's club

there is also no word of the "core" system or an equivalent, the core was the VIP part of their "agent" fanclub, people in it would get lots of perks for example early access to reservations of merchandise or tickets for concerts, etc

people disliked the system because even if you payed to be part of the fan club you likely wouldn't be able to join the "core" since it had a limited membership and only a handful of people (100? i believe) could be part of it at the same time

BiS just released their latest single "hey boy hey girl" so Natalie.mu contacted the group for an interview

their current uniforms look good but i don't like how they put the tags on the back

btw Chantmonkee finally got to met "Chatmonchy"



when she joined WACK she was asked what kind of stage name she would like to have and she responded that "a name that reminded you of Chatmonchy" so she became Chantmonkee

Chantmonkee announced her graduation from BiS, her last concert with the group is going to be on July 18




she thanked the members, fans, the staff and Watanabe for supporting her these past 3 years, she stated that lately she doesn't feel like she has been able to give her best, she also wants to try new projects own her own

for now the group is going to continue their activities with Toggy (who is on hiatus) Neotrees, NANO3 and Musensiteebu

i believe BiS3's anniversary is next month

WACK announced a new summer audition



the deadline is July 31, requirements are the usual only that this time the age limit is 12 to 24 years

another audition? the boy's audition camp was back in February and the girl's camp on March,

not only that but Watanabe announced a second boy audition camp for the second part of the year and there still the band audition show

feels like too many auditions

GANG PARADE's signal went on sale this week, we aren't going to know the number until next week but at the very least it seems to be performing like "PARADE GOES ON", maybe better

unfortunately several big artists have releases the same day so there is zero chance of a #1 debut this week

who the fuck is Domae? good question because i myself had no idea who this person was until some minutes ago


Domae was a participant in the 2019 audition camp but failed to past the audition, Watanabe liked her enough that he decided to hire her as part of the staff of WACK, she currently is the manager of GANG PARADE

an update on BRAND-NEW BAND STORY

seems isn't going to be a conventional audition show instead they screened several active bands from the indie scene and selected four of them to participate in the TV show

the four bands that are going to participate:

アラナミ
TEAR
totemぽぉる
youth

the BBS account linked to their twitter profiles, they seem to be super indie groups, i never heard about any of them




is this good?

eh... i mean is nice that several small acts are going to get a chance to perform in front of a bigger audience, also there is the fact that "manufactured" bands rarely make it

some while ago the company of AKB48 tried to put together a band using the same formula they use for their idols groups, the band debuted as THE COINLOCKERS and despite having one of the largest entertainment companies backing them it didn't work

on the other hand i think a lot of people was expecting a WACK audition camp but with bands, i imagine many are not going to be interested in this other format

also i'm butthurt that none of the new gen Jbands i follow were invited
