Ebichu's Hinata and Ayaka were picked on Sekijam as 2 of the top 10 female idol singers
Kanako was named as an idol with a strange voice and there was a short story about Aarin

So far it doesn't seem like Batten being without a label has hurt them too much. They performed OiSa on Buzz Rhythm a few days ago and just released their third album "Fun" (all this time I thought it'd be called Fan).
I've been listening to the album today, it's good!
I'm not decided on my favourite songs yet but tentatively it's OiSa, Arigato-to, Just mean it! and Dancer in the night.

BOLT's upcoming single Don't Blink is being used as the soundtrack for a midnight drama. Here they are dancing to a part of the song
Also this just in, avex might cut some artists.
This most likely just relates to the idols/acts avex manages and not those they distribute, so Taconiji and Tokisen are most likely not affected.
Reni received the special thank you-letter from the tourism association
Shiori for Hustle Press!
And just some extra stuff

I've been really out of it this past week, so I have some catching up to do. These are just a couple random posts I came across. I really liked these pics of Maika from Awww!
Ukka dressed up for Halloween.
That tweet about Kanako is hidden. Do you remember which site posted the article?
Well deserved for Hinata and Ayaka. They're both outstanding vocalists. I would have liked a shout out for Rika too, but there's only 10 spots. Speaking of Hinata, this is a good time to share these pics.
New Ebichu Calendar.
I wish the pic was more high res, but I really like the effect on the group pic. This is from that concert they did early this year.
That Avex article is weird. At first I was concerned, but then I realized it was about staff and not artists. Still sucks for people over 41 to have to quit.

Tokisen's next album "Tokimeki ga subete" will be released the 23rd of December!
And the MV for the lead song, "Endless", will be uploaded on Saturday.
The Kanako/Arin stuff was from the same TV show Ebichu were mentioned on! It was a clip of Kanako singing, then they talked a bit and then the discussion shifted to Aarin with a video of Datte A-rin Nandamon. Iirc it was something about how Aarin also has a distinctive voice/singing style too. I'm not sure how well the other girls on the list sing and I only remember a few of the entries but based on those I can understand not putting a third Ebichu member in the top 10 (And it wasn't only Hyadain who made the list, there was at least one other person). I knew Hinata would be there as soon as I heard of the episode as he recently suggested her as a top idol singer for another program. But I'm happy not only her but also Ayaka was praised.
I now realize that I probably tried looking for Halloween photos before Halloween
Maika has her own twitter?! Does that make her the only Stardust idol with one? I'm surprised!

Reni appeared on a TV show called Mizubara (水バラ) today! From what I could gather it's a show with two teams of 3 competing to do some challenges, where one team travels by bus and the other by train. Reni was in the train team and AKB48's former GM Yokoyama Yui was in the bus team, so naturally it was advertised as a battle between them.
This time the trip was between Matsumoto Castle in Nagano and Takada Castle in Niigata.
It's great to see her get some solo TV appearances, and the response also seems to have been very good. She got along with her team, stayed positive and gave the other members energy when they were tired.

The promotions for the Doremi movie have also started in earnest, which means there's been some new Kanako interviews!
First there's this one which I can't read because the site is blocked in my country:
But there's also this one with her co-VA:s
And some TV segments. I have no idea what this is but it's impressive

TokiSen and Ebichu had the #1 and #2 ranked Idol blogs for the 12th. I've gotten used to Ebichu making it on these kinds of lists, but I'm impressed when TokiSen gets these achievements. They don't sell allot of singles, but they do seem to get a good amount of attention.
I've always thought that all the members of Momoclo have unique voices. There's supposed to be 3 kinds of voices: chest, throat, and head. I have a feeling that Arin uses her head voice since she sings in such a high range.
Speaking of TokiSen's album, they just released photos of their new costumes which they'll probably wear in the MV. They're going with a flower concept.
This is the cover of the photobook that comes with the limited edition version of the album. It's pretty expensive, about $186.00. If it was under a hundred dollars, I'd be tempted to buy it.

TokiSen also held a concert on the 8th called "Let's go! Delivered from Line Cube Shibuya! Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu!" They dressed up as Angels and Devils.
It's kind of hard to see, but they had a big cross in the back of the stage. There's more photos here on Pop 'n' Roll.
Here's a great pic from Julia's blog entry.
Also wanted to share this post about Hinata's role in "ELF The Musical".

The first photo for Tsukiiro Chainon has been released!
The single will be released on the 13th of January and will feature ZZ versions of 6 Sailor Moon songs.
Momoclo also announced an online concert on ABEMA for the 29th of November
Fans will be able to decide parts of the setlist through live voting
I'm surprised too!
Tokisen are very consistent with blog updates so I think that pays off. I had a quick look and ukka are also doing quite well there when they update the blog, about the same engagement as Tokisen but they're a bit less consistent. The big groups on line blogs (Dempa, ZOC, HKT/NGT) barely ever update, and apart from ZOC they seem to be written by staff. Outside of the idol ranking there's Mogami Moga who is #1 on the whole site now which isn't surprising given her pregnancy announcement on the blog, but her blog seems generally very well followed. On the idol side it seems to be Ebichu and ZOC with the largest following.
The flower pictures are great!
I watched a behind the scenes video of the Tokisen concert just yesterday! I didn't see any photos though. Hinata seems to have a pretty big role and I saw her get praise for her stable singing, iirc by someone working there or a reviewer.

Some info from the latest Momoiro Tsurube ft. Aoi Morikawa (Stardust actress, knows Tsurube, and VA in the latest Doremi movie w/ Kanako):
Anime Momoclo like:
Shiori: Doraemon
Reni: Crayon Shin-chan
Aarin: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Kanako: Shimajiro
Aoi Morikawa tells a story from when she was in Florence, Italy. She was enjoying her vacation when suddenly a woman called out for her. She thought 'this fan is a really cute girl' but as she got closer she realized that it was Shiori.

Yeah, I always see TokiSen updating their blogs. They're pretty consistent. I didn't know about Ukka doing so well, so that's good to hear. I haven't kept up with Moga since she left Dempa and didn't know about the pregnancy. I always find it interesting how people transition from being performers into popular bloggers. I remember when H!P's Nozomi Tsuji transitioned from being an Idol to a mother and full time blogger and she was in the top spot for a long time. ZOC's popularity is interesting. They seem to have a broader appeal than many Idol groups. I think they have some crossover with the modelling scene and the teenage girls who follow that.
I'm hoping to find some clips from Hinata's musical, but I haven't had time to do much searching.

The 'Endless' MV is out!
Apart from that, there's also been some birthdays in Stardust Planet.
First off Batten's Sora turned 17 yesterday
And today Honoka turned 23!
And her birthday made me learn something new about her!
She's been in Stardust since elementary school and seems to have been a big reason why Shachi was formed
But now for the reason why I mentioned the birthdays...! Honoka has started a Youtube channel, "Akimoto Honoka Ice TV"!
The channel will be focused on ice-cream related videos, but she'll also do ASMR and other stuff!
First she'll hold a live video on Shachi's channel
We'll probably get individual photos for Chainon later this year, I look forward to it! Maybe I can finalize the badges in time for christmas
Something tells me Kanako chose that anime because of the connection to Momoclo-chan Z, but then iirc she's mostly brought up children's anime that she liked as a kid. I remember that they discussed anime or manga on Happy Clover and one of the members brought up... the promised neverland? Kingdom? I don't remember exactly. It was maybe a month or two ago.
I think Moga largely does modelling these days. She's also quite outspoken and well known for it. ZOC seem to hit several markets: idols/alt-idols/fashion/controversy, so they attract more demographics in a similar vein to 46G and WACK groups. But I don't follow them so idk, except that Seiko Oomori is in it.

Just wanted to share these two vids real quick. There're clips of Hinata scattered throughout the first one. It looks like a fun show. I thought it was strange that there aren't any clips of the star of the show, but when I saw that he's in Johnny's Jr., it made sense. You want to hear him sing, you gotta see the show, lol.
It's weird hearing Hinata sing non Ebichu songs. I could see her pursuing a solo career if she was interested.

The AYAKARNIVAL 2020 artist line-up has been revealed!
It will be held on the 12th of December and will have the same line-up as last year (Aarin, =Love, EMPiRE, Coming Flavor) + Up Up Girls (2) and STU48!
It's supposed to be held physically but it might get shifted to online-only if cases keep rising.
Aarin also updated her blog about the event and added some off-shoots from her appearance in a camera magazine
The ELF video makes her look and sound like the star of the show!
I think a solo depends a lot on if she's clear on what type of music she wants to pursue. It can be tricky as a solo artist, but compared to other idols she has an advantage in the singing department. So it's about finding what she wants to do and develop her voice and sound for that. A career in musicals and stage plays seems likely at least.

It's now 12 years on the day since Aarin joined Momoclo! She's been in the group for almost half her life now.
JA Namie will also release two new songs on the 24th, "Tsunagaru, Unmei" and "Mata kimi to"
There are also some newly published photos of Ebichu's Ayaka!

Buryo Tougen performance from Natsu no Bakasawagi has been uploaded to Momoclo's youtube!
Crown Pop's 4th single "To Do" will be released on the 22nd of December
Today is also the first anniversary of JA Namie! The songs are now out in Japan, but I haven't seen them internationally yet.
Reni and Mirei went on Loincloth to pick the singing order for the next Cinderella event
