BOLT announced their first concert and the teaser image is great, I love how they made it seem like there's a physical bolt sign hanging in the air.

Today was also the last day of TIF! Most SDP groups attended the event!

Momoclo will release a new Sailor Moon theme song!!


It's the theme for Sailor Moon Eternal, two movies that will be released early next year! The single will be out on the 13th of January.

TokiSen will release their major debut album on Avex sometime this winter! I've been waiting for this announcement One of the new songs on the album will be a collaboration with fans. Fans can submit a self composed song to the group and one will be chosen and recorded for the album. You can be an amateur or professional song writer. No restriction on genre or the number of songs submitted. I'm not sure, but it's possible they could record more than one song. I'll have to look for future updates.

I'm a bit unclear, but there's something else about 12 projects over 3 months. I'll have to look for more info.



TokiSen also modeled some clothes, which might be a first for them.

Here are the announcements! It's a mix of news and some stuff we knew already:

1. Momoclo will hold a live concert at the beginning of next year
2. Momokuri 2020 will be postponed

I'm excited about the song and Uta Gassen! It's always been a highlight for me! I'm also curious about the new song. Stardust haven't released many singles since covid so I doubt it'll be promoted but I hope there's an MV!

I'm glad that Momoclo will still be active this year, but I was hoping for a new album announcement. At least we're getting a new song!

A date has also been decided for Hachiroke's last concert, it'll be held on the 6th of December. I thought it'd just been cancelled since some of the members are in Awww! now.

I finally got around to watching this. Ayaka performed an a-cappella version of "Jump" at her Birthday Live. You can really feel her emotions when she sings the chorus. I wonder if it's because she couldn't be in the MV since she was resting. I've always loved the rawness to Ayaka's voice and how she puts everything into her performances. This also reminds me that I really need to buy "playlist".

The new Iginari MV was great! It's early impressions but it could end up being one of my favourites from this year. If nothing else then it's at least a proper MV for them.

Hmm so some quick news before I get some sleep:

Kanako has been cast in a movie!

Sukutte Goran will be released in spring next year. It's somehow related to a goldfish?

What an interesting rendition, it's completely different to the original! Very raw and emotional, as you said! It almost reminds me of a theatre performance. Very impressive performance and probably cathartic for her! Playlist is a fantastic album.

I got a random recommendation for Stay Gold and noticed that the MV still hasn't reached 1M views. That's surprising since it was released almost a year ago. It was a departure for them musically, but the MV has some really cool imagery so I expected it to do better. On the other hand, the MV for Odoru Pompokolin was released only a couple months before Stay Gold and it has over 3M views. I guess Chibi Maruko-chan brings in the views, lol. Now that I think of it, the views for Xiao Yi Xiao started off pretty slow, then they blew up and now the MV has over 29M!

Same. I've read that TIF is cracking down harder this year on fan uploads, so I decided not to post the videos I found.

Wow, I loved this new BattenSho song! It's a totally new sound for them. I guess that's the benefit of going independent. They can have more creative control. I hope they continue to go in this direction. Another bonus of their new status must be the ability to upload full MVs!

I saw the news about the next Cinderella competition. They need to add some rewards for the winner. I think the first winner got something, but I don't remember it being that exciting. It might have just been a photoshoot. I would be great if they got to release a solo single along with an MV.

Momoclo views for more recent MVs are definitely inconsistent. For some reason XyX blew up despite not much promotion, like you said. For another comparison, GODSPEED hasn't cracked a million views yet either, but Anta Tobashi has over 2M. I think it really depends on people's tastes.

I'm anxious for a new Momoclo MV, especially if it's the debut of blond Shiori, so I hope we get something soon.

This is heart breaking news...now we know why she's taken so much time off. It's too depressing to go into survival rates, so I'll just keep Ayaka in my thoughts and wish her and her family well while dealing with this.

Ayaka must be going through a lot, and the treatment will almost certainly be very tough both physically and mentally. I don't know if it was to calm her fans but she seems determined to fight the disease with a positive outlook. And I'm sure when she's feeling down she'll find strength and comfort in her fans' support. I'm hoping for the best.
