Ebichu's next album is out in March!

BOLT's Naito Luna also joined twitter

I also got to the bottom of something that had been bothering me for a bit, I'll explain in my next post!

Here's the story about the realization I came to.

The catalyst was this video of all Stardust Planet idols sorted by age

In the video Awww!'s Harima was listed as a member of JA Namie and the other members were missing. This made me think back to Stardust Planet Festival where Harima was the only Awww! member that participated in the competition. I thought it was a bit strange at the time, but Awww! had only been active for a year and barely had any songs.
I also noticed how Awww! member Aoba Mori was very emotional in the photos
FDCPYHAakAARi8F

A bit of research revealed the reason. Stardust Planet Festival was the last activity for Awww! as a group. Harima will be the only member who stays as an idol.
Maybe the younger members will join another group, but Maika and Aoba are moving on, maybe as actresses. Good luck in the future!

yeah, only Harima survives being an idol. at least for now. apart from Maika who had left, they were still in Stardust. it's a shame even though the songs seem promising.
if you haven't, you can join Discord Stardust planet just for an update

I'll be busy for the next week but Shachi just released the covers for their upcoming album

Ebichu also performed as 9 for the first time ever!

And there were some announcements about Stardust Planet idols performing on Momoiro Uta Gassen including Ebichu and Tokisen!

It's been a week since I posted here but I made some threads on the forum which I'll sum up and link to in this post!

It took me a month to realize that Ebichu released a lyric video for "Anytime, Anywhere"!

It's very nice. I think this is my favourite Ebichu song since Jump.

Ebichu also won the idol music awards again this year. Tokisen was also represented with "July Cider" and Suki in the top 10 songs. I would link the results but I don't have them at hand. I wonder how ukka did this year?

Several Stardust idols celebrated coming of age ceremony this year, including two members of Tokisen and Batten Showjo Tai.

Namie Joshihatsu Kumiai (JA Namie) released the individual teasers for their first album whose title I'm not sure of but it's Hana-something-mu.

The limited version includes their Meijiza performance

ukka's new artist visual is neat

I also posted a video from Momoiro Uta Gassen, and there are more on that YT page. What else? Iginari Tohoku San and Shachi posted some good live videos on their channels.

Most Stardust planet groups also have some music on the way :pandasantacookie:
Momoclo, Ebichu, Shachi, JA Namie - full albums
Iginari Tohoku San - mini album
ukka - single

Some updates on Reni! She updated her instagram a couple days ago telling her fans to expect good news and she wasn't wrong!

Her individual CF for Uma Musume Pretty Derby was announced yesterday

She is a fan of the franchise and it's very popular in Japan right now. She recently collaborated with the VAs on Momoiro Uta Gassen.

And today she announced Marugoto Reni-chan 2022 which will be a 3-day tour in March. Hopefully covid cases have gone down by then and it will be able to be held safely.

Now for something that isn't really news but I think is interesting regardless.
This channel asked Stardust planet fans which idols they are curious about/look forward to following in 2022 and the results are a bit surprising.

It's a good indicator of which groups/members Stardust fans discovered last year and you can see who made an impression.

Tokisen, Batten Girls, Tohoku and Amefurasshi members ranking in fits with what I've noticed during the last year. They all have momentum going into 2022.
The top is also dominated by new faces.

The most shocking for me was Amefurasshi's Hana. Aira is the standout member and I thought she'd be the only member in the top 10. But I know she got a lot of attention for her tweets.

Top 3 was not so surprising to me even if the order was a bit unexpected.

I thought this deserved a post. Momoclo will be releasing their 6th original album in May! I don't know which I'm more excited for. New music or new music videos, lol.

BUTTOBI MV is out!

When I read that there was doing to be a game play MV for "BUTTOBI", I thought it would be entirely game footage. The members were featured way more than I expected and made it way more enjoyable.

I really appreciate the insight into Stardust fans favorites! I don't look into this stuff like I used to, so I don't know where members rank. Really happy to see my girl Aki in the top 5! I'm curious as to why Shiori made it in to the top 20. Was it because of the movie she was in? Maybe fans are hoping she'll take more acting roles. Disappointing that Amefurasshi's Moeka didn't make the top 20. She has such a great voice.

I'm happy to see that the new members of Ebichu are gaining fans. Allot of videos featuring them on the group's official Youtube channel have the comments disabled and I assumed they new members were getting hate. Either it was for different reasons or fans are finally warming up to them.

Finally a release date and name :hehe:
It was announced during Momoclo's postponed 13th anniversary concert this weekend. It was a bit unclear if they would be able to hold it due to Japan's rapid covid spread (more on that later) but they decided to let fans opt out and get their money back or watch it on video live if they didn't feel comfortable attending. So I think it went all right.

I do enjoy these videos too, they give me some insight into the different groups. It appears that Shiori got votes because she showed some interest in a solo concert or song and that she might get more acting/variety roles. Moeka does have a good voice, the best in Amefurasshi.

Maybe they disabled the comments as a safety precaution because the new members are young? As far as I know the reception has been positive but I don't follow Ebichu family closely.

Now a short update. The 4 original members of Batten Girls contracted covid-19. Seta, Riko and Kiina had a fever but their conditions have improved now. Miyu tested negative and Rirua hasn't had any symptoms.
Tokisen will release a MV for Cupid In Love.
And here are the results for the idol awards thing I mentioned in an earlier post.

Oh right I also changed my profile picture. I'll try to change it up a bit more in the future.

Just wanted to post these fabulous costumes from Momoclo's 13th anniversary concert. Hope they make it into their regular rotation.

I just started looking into Momoclo's concert and I'm curious how many fans attended. Going to see if I can find an upload anywhere.

I figured that Shiori must have had some kind of plans for 2022 to get those votes. Thanks for clarifying!

I can see them turning off the comments on Ebichu's videos because of the age of the new members, but there are young members in other groups without comments disabled on their channels. The mystery continues.

XXp4Pq3.jpg

With the 4 Batten Girls members testing positive for Covid, I'm curious how many Stardust Planet members are vaccinated. I know there's still some vaccine hesitancy in Japan, but the vaccination rate has improved in the past 6 - 9 months.

Stardust Planet having a big presence in the awards as usual. I'm curious if group's sales have picked up with the success of groups like TokiSen and Ukka. I know their streaming numbers are good so physical album sales probably aren't that important.

And I did notice you changed your profile pic (Shiori had a good run, lol). I tend to stick with a theme and Aki's been my girl for a while so I won't be switching it up anytime soon.

From what I heard there were originally 7000 seats at the concert and 2000 people refunded their tickets or switched to online viewing.

I assume that everyone in Stardust Planet is vaccinated with possible exceptions for the youngest members. Stardust have encouraged the audience at their concerts to get vaccinated for a long time now. I don't think they would let them perform with other groups otherwise. We will still see a substantial amount of idols with covid in the immediate future due to the current vaccine not being effective against omicron infection.

As far as I know album sales haven't increased for Tokisen but that's due to Covid. Idol album sales are down across the board. We'll see with ukka but I'm not sure if they will increase. They lost two members and the way their leader and main vocalist Mizuha left the group suddenly seems to have left many fans disillusioned. I thought WINGS was a good song and with their new song their new members will have an chance to showcase themselves.

The Batten members are all recovered now and will return to activities.

Speaking of Covid, both Aarin and Nao received positive PCR tests in the last 24 hours.
Aarin has no symptoms so far and Nao has a sore throat.

In Aarin's case the Momoclo members tested negative at the same time and are without symptoms. They are not considered close contacts according to the official definition and the health center has not contacted them so far. The Namie Joshihatsu Kumiai members are isolating and their respective groups (BOLT, Amefurasshi) are cancelling activities. JA Namie recently held a live stream.

The other TEAM SHACHI members have no symptoms but will be in voluntary quarantine for a week. Shachi's next concert on November 11 will be cancelled as will two performances at Sanrio Puroland.
